I bought my mom two aquatic frogs at a beach store recently. It came as a complete kit: small plastic box with airhole, filled with aquarium rocks, bamboo twig and water, and of course, two little frogs. We've had these frogs before in our regular fish aquarium (with filter/pumps/etc.) but they have generally died after a while. How would you care for these little frogs in the plastic box they came in? Is it fresh tap water or something different? How often should you change it? I just bought them three days ago and the water is already cloudy.
Set the frogs up in a regular filtered aquarium and throw the plastic thing away. Pay attention to water quality, treat for ammonia and chlorine. Aquatic frogs prefer live foods, which can be purchased a a tropical fish store. If the frogs are Xenopus, they can grow to be quite large, and will eventually be able to eat earthworms and small minnows.
