We moved late last year and I still havn't gotten my room the way I want it. Its painted a teal-ish blue. I got a new bed, its a dark wood sleigh bed. I couldn't find any good bedding and needed some so I just picked white with black flowers. I don't really like it anymore, but I just bought it so I guess I have to stick with it for now. My desk, which I already had, is white, which doesn't match the dark wood look, but I can't get a new one because this one is pretty new anyways. I got a bamboo, circular chair, with black cushion from Pier One. My tv is just on a little cupboard. I really want my room to be cool. My brother has a huge room and he painted it gray and has a cool glass desk and shelves and black bed. I need some decorating ideas. Pictures would be awesome!
Two choices here. Buy sheets in really dark purple (eggplant) or in a slate grey. Both of these colours would look terrific as an accent with the teal but the eggplant would be the most dramatic if you ask me. If possible get an extra flat sheet in the exact same colour you chose, and recover the bamboo chair cushion. Regarding the desk, would your parents let you paint it? If you are allowed to paint your furniture, I would get the eggplant sheets, recover the cusion and paint all your furniture in a slate grey. You could leave the bamboo chair natural and pick up an inexpensive bamboo rug. It would look terrific!
